Setting out time for myself was one of the greatest gifts I gave to me. It allowed me to relax, unwind, and allow myself some time to be free. If you’re like me, then you probably need it too. Self-care isn’t selfish when it’s done right

When I first tried to set out time for my self-care, I didn’t know how. Every attempt was met with excuses or failed because of other unforeseen events. For most people, they fail at setting time aside for themselves due to external factors such as friends having plans or family commitments. Even though these are great things to do, they won’t always help you in the long run with your stress levels or anxiety attacks that may come unannounced. It would be beneficial every once in awhile just to put yourself first.

When you put yourself first, it shows that you care about your mental health. Sometimes it may be overwhelming with all the responsibilities of every day life but self-care is essential if you want to keep up with everything. Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s done for yourself and no one else. When everyone is happy then you’re happy too, right? If this doesn’t resonate with you then I would like to suggest taking some time out for yourself instead of thinking about someone else.

Self-care isn’t a luxury, but a necessity

I noticed how much better I felt after setting aside some time for myself. It can be anything from reading a book while sipping on coffee or laying down in bed and enjoying a cup of tea while listening to a podcast. When I would set out time for myself, it would lead me to be more productive with my work and also be able to manage stress better. Everything was so much easier once I had some time for me.

Self-care is vital in this generation because everyone has so much going on in their lives. Sometimes you just need a break from the news, schoolwork, or even social media to relax and spend some time with yourself before going back into the world ready to take on anything that comes your way. There’s never a perfect time to practice self-care but starting small will help you invest into your own mental health without any regrets later on down the.

Bath time is probably the best time for self care.

Taking a bath is the best way to recharge and relax. I always set out an extra 20 minutes in my day just to take a shower or a bath depending on what kind of day it was. Sinking into a bath full of hot water with some bubbles is always my go-to. But every once in a while, I would add in some Epsom salt for added relaxation from all the stress from school or workday.

The calming silence when you’re taking a bath makes everything feel so much better when you get back to your busy life where time seems thicker than honey.

Bath time is an amazing way to relax and take care of yourself without any distractions. It’s your chance to just be in the moment and not worry about anything else that you have going on in your life. You can’t get too stressed while taking a bath because it’s such a blissful experience where all you do is sink into the hot water and let everything else melt away for some time.

There’s nothing quite like a bath to calm your nerves and soothe your muscles. Especially during the cooler months, sinking into a warm bath feels so special. However, you can also transform your bath, and upgrade your whole bathing experience by turning your baths into self-care rituals. There are so many soothing bath products you can use to make your soak even better.

If you are leading a busy lifestyle, you are probably not paying a lot of attention to yourself. Although taking care of yourself should come to you naturally, many people seem to think that spending time by yourself is hard, and it only feels like wasting time. In reality, every moment you spend taking care of yourself is what is keeping you healthy.

Whether you are too busy, or you just feel like spending time by yourself is just wasting time, you probably spend very little time by yourself. Turning taking a bath into a self-care ritual will make taking time for yourself into a daily habit.
