Rituals to Help Create Positivity in Your Life

Rituals are necessary. They create a rhythm in life that allows room for thoughts and moods to pass through easily. It’s a simple act, but doing it the same way each day makes it a habit, makes it repeatable, and easy to do. It frees up your time and gives you one less thing to think about, thus freeing your mind and allowing new ideas to flow.

Here are a few rituals to help you cultivate positivity in your life and at work.  


AROMATHERAPY

Essentials oils are a great way to set a mood and if done daily has amazing health benefits. If your workspace allows you to use one diffusing an oil like lemon promotes concentration and has calming and clarifying properties. Pick a time of the day (like the 3 o’clock slump) to begin and make it your ritual.


HEALTHY EATING

You don’t have to change your entire diet to make healthy eating a ritual. There are many detoxing foods that can be consumed as part of a ritual that can have tremendous benefits. Something as simple as green tea, it is loaded with antioxidants and if drinker regularly can even speed up your metabolism. Pick a time during the day to make yourself a cup of tea and make it your ritual.

AFFIRM YOUR DESIRES

Affirmations are essential to creating a positive environment. You can use affirmations to manifest a loving relationship, a better career, or a greater sense of inner peace. Pick a time during the day to say your own affirmations and make it your ritual. Speak it as if it’s already occurring.

Here are a few examples:

  • I have been given endless talents which I begin to utilize today.
  • I am courageous and I stand up for myself.

  • I radiate beauty, charm, and grace.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

We all don’t have time to go to the gym and put in hours. Between work and family, there are just some things that are more of a priority but some form of physical activity should be as well. Make a physical activity a ritual, go for a walk in the evening or start your day with one. Play your favorite song and dance to it before heading out the door or do some stretches before going to bed. Whatever you choose, pick a time for the activity and make it a ritual.

INSPIRATIONAL CONTENT

With all the time we spend online we are consuming negativity energy unconsciously. Close out of CNN and step away from The Shade Room for a few. POST-WORK

If you have trouble separating yourself from work create a ritual that detaches you from it. Some people find it useful to remove their work clothes and slip into something more comfortable or something that doesn’t have the energy of work lingering on it.
